Association Physio Montreal

History

The Association Physio Montréal (APM), a non-profit organization, was founded in 2005 by a group of physiotherapists in the Montreal region, following the initiative of Atlas Médic. There is an equivalent organization in Quebec City called the Association Contact-Physio, which was founded in 1997. It is the great success of Contact-Physio in Quebec City that inspired the creation of the APM. Today, both organizations are dedicated to organizing cocktail-dinner conferences in their respective regions to bring together local physiotherapists.

Mission

Our main mission is to gather all physiotherapists and physical rehabilitation therapists, as well as other health professionals in the Greater Montreal area, in a convivial environment to promote discussion on recent topics within the field of physiotherapy. We invite world-renowned speakers for the conferences in order to provide the best quality information to our participants.

Our second mission is to promote physiotherapy. We aim to accomplish this by using the profits generated by the conferences to give donations and bursaries to the departments of physiotherapy at McGill University and the Université de Montréal.

Information

For each conference, we will have information and a registration form posted on our Facebook page: Association Physio Montréal. These documents will also be sent by email to anyone on the Atlas Médic mailing list. Please note that the cocktail-dinner conferences are recognized as continuing education hours for the OPPQ.

For more information about the cocktail-dinner conferences, do not hesitate to contact Annick Létourneau from Atlas Médic at 418-686-4497 or at 1-866-404-4497.
